A ferritic stainless steel tube, type 439 outperforms both type 409 and 436 in oxidation and corrosion resistance in the most-demanding environments. Type 439 stainless steel tube withstands temperatures upwards of 1700˚F (927˚C), exceeding the limits of both types 409 and 436. Its chemical composition gives type 436 ideal formability for difficult-to-form systems and components.
